Patrick Niedermeier focuses his practice on obtaining and enforcing intellectual property rights for a range of clients, from large international corporations to startup companies and individuals. He has extensive experience in all phases of IP portfolio development, including patent and trademark prosecution in the U.S. and abroad. He regularly assists clients with invention disclosure review, landscape / clearance searching and freedom-to-operate analyses.

His work has spanned a broad range of technology sectors including network security, wireless communications, machine learning algorithms, cloud computing, identity verification software, 3D image processing and object reconstruction, blockchain and cryptocurrency, RFID/NFC hardware, environmental monitoring devices, video compression and on-demand streaming, and digital advertising.

Patrick is also highly experienced in leading IP due diligence review and agreement drafting for large-scale corporate transactions. He has represented clients throughout many phases of district court and ITC patent litigation - including pre-suit investigation, claim construction briefing, expert reports, and at trial.
