Cesari and McKenna is proud to announce that Joseph A. Capraro Jr., Patrick J. Niedermeier, Xin Hu Rasmussen, Ph.D., and Gerald E. Worth, P.E have joined the firm.

Joe Capraro leads the group and has joined the firm as Partner. He brings 30 years of experience providing his clients with practical legal advice across the full spectrum of intellectual property areas. Joe assists domestic and global clients with strategic portfolio development, patent and trademark prosecution, post-grant proceedings, freedom-to-operate and patent opinions, technology licensing, intellectual property due diligence in corporate transactions, pre-litigation counseling, and intellectual property litigation support.

 

Patrick J. Niedermeier has joined the firm as Partner and focuses his practice on obtaining and enforcing intellectual property rights for a range of clients, from large international corporations to startup companies and individuals. He has extensive experience in all phases of IP portfolio development, including patent and trademark prosecution in the U.S. and abroad.  His work has spanned a number of different technology sectors including network security, wireless communications, machine learning algorithms, identity verification software, 3D vision processing, blockchain and cryptocurrency, RFID/NFC hardware, and environmental monitoring devices.

 

Xin Hu Rasmussen, Ph.D. has joined the firm as Partner. She focuses her practice on patent prosecution with a specialty in the fields of electrical engineering and computer science. Xin has drafted and prosecuted patent applications in a broad range of fields, including semiconductor processing, software, circuit designs, MEMS technology, medical devices, and surgical instruments. She also analyzes patent issues in the context of due diligence regarding patentability, validity, infringement, and freedom to operate reviews.

 

Gerald Worth, P.E. has joined the firm as Senior Counsel. He helps clients obtain and enforce intellectual property rights in the U.S. and abroad and is responsible for the maintenance and development of patent portfolios for clients in a broad range of technologies. Jerry brings over 20 years of technical industrial experience to the legal profession and has also represented clients in dozens of post grant proceedings.

 

Prior to joining Cesari and McKenna, all four attorneys practiced at global law firm, Proskauer Rose LLP.
