Steve Mills has over thirty years' experience counseling clients on developing, maintaining, and enforcing their Intellectual Property rights to protect their business markets. Steve serves a diverse range of clients, including publicly-traded multinational corporations, educational and health care institutions, small closely-held companies, start-ups, and individuals.

Steve advises and represents clients on a wide array of patent and trademark matters, including U. S. and foreign patent prosecution, patent validity, infringement and licensing matters, corporate transactions, and opposition and litigation proceedings. He has extensive experience in a variety of technology areas, including electronics, optics, lasers, medical devices, computer hardware and software, communications systems, artificial intelligence, imaging systems, remote sensing and measuring devices, mechanical devices and systems, and environmental control devices and systems.

Before entering the practice of law, Steve worked in the private technology industry with two multinational high-technology design, development and manufacturing companies as an electrical/mechanical design engineer. His background in engineering provides him insight into the challenges that his clients encounter.
