Xin Hu Rasmussen, Ph.D. focuses her practice on patent prosecution in the fields of electrical engineering and computer science. Xin has drafted and prosecuted patent applications in a broad range of fields, including semiconductor processing, software, circuit designs, MEMS technology, plasma devices, medical devices and surgical instruments. Her clients include private and public technology companies, financial institutions and healthcare companies. She also has analyzed patent issues in the context of due diligence regarding patentability, validity, infringement and freedom to operate.

While pursuing her Ph.D. at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Xin wrote a thesis on numerical simulations of the electromagnetic behavior of semiconductors over different types of substrate and in response to different operating frequencies.
